Niece Zoe!

Zoe's birthday was in February- she's 2, but acts more like her 4-year old sister Grace. So how does an only child have a niece? Well, I also have a second mom, Marge, who has been my mom's friend since 4th grade, and two sisters, Marge's two daughters, Betsy & Jessica. Jessica and her husband Marc have Grace & Zoe and live right around the corner from Pat & I. Betsy and her husband, Rob, have Ben, who just turned 3 this weekend. So I get to be an aunt to all three kids. See flow chart below...

Car & Couch!

Thanks to Craig's list, I got a new car! I'm so thrilled with my 1996 Buick Regal! Does it say that I'm hip, cool and wear too much black? probably not. But it says freedom! I can get to work on my own and I don't have a payment- yipppeeeee!

It even has a clicker, a CD player and a sunroof! Quite a step into the new millenium for me.

And also thanks to Craig's list....we got a couch! It fits and matches perfectly in the front chocolate room. It is very exciting that we can both fit on the couch while watching television! And it has a pull out bed, so we have more room for guests!

Toby Keith

I went with my friends Meg, Eileen & Lars to see Toby Keith. Pat passed on the concert, but he listened to his favorite song via cell phone! It wasn't the same without him.

Toby was good, but he seemed bored by the whole performance. He rocked out at the end to a Ted Nugent tune which didn't go over well with the crowd, but he seemed to get more into enjoying himself. Perhaps it's a new direction for his career? We also got our picture on the local

Perfect Valentine

Actually Pat made these sandwiches a couple weeks before Valentine's day, but they are Philly steak and cheese subs in the shape of hearts....yummy!











On Valentine's day he made chocolate dipped strawberries. Yes, yes, I am a lucky, lucky girl!
