It's been almost six months since I last posted on my blog. Last fall I took two classes, Introduction to Digital Media and Introduction to Graphic Design Software, which while they were each interesting, overall reminded me why I gave up graphic design as my living. Looking back on the semester now, I have no idea how I stayed the course through so many late nights and early mornings doing homework- it sounds exhausting. But then again I've spent most of February dealing with two colds and a bout of shingles, so exhaustion comes easier to me today then it did last fall. In between, I spent January building my wedding photo album - which I'm very proud of and am happy to have for the rest of my life.
So now it is March and the crocus in the front yard are blooming. The shingles have been a reminder to me that I like to pretend that I have control over so many things in life that I indeed don't. I hope this spring brings health and with it baby steps in learning to let go of worry and practice living in the moment.
All that said, I have missed sharing some wonderful events in life, first up, my cousin Meredith's wedding, September 29th brought the family together again this year:

We had so much fun. I'm glad our family had such fun reasons to get together so many times this past year.....and now that Meredith and Woody are expecting their first child....we'll have more reasons in 2013 too!
