Boise bound!

Did I mention, we're moving to Boise! We visited Pat's family there in March and decided it was time to be near them for awhile. To make a long month of stories shorter: we both gave our notices at our job, we rented out our house, we had a yardsale & several trips to the thrift store as we cleaned out the house, we upgraded the shower, we rented UHaul boxes to be shipped across the country while we got to road trip and off we go!

We have an apartment to live in when we get there and some possible job contacts, but are definitely working more on faith than on blueprint.

Our contractor, Duane tiled the shower while we were at the beach (why haven't I ever taken trips before during house projects?) and then Pat watersealed the grout. Why did we wait so long to do this? It's so much better! I'm jealous that the renters get a nicer shower than we had.

We rented 3 of these UHaul boxes. Picked up each one on a trailer, filled it up and then returned to UHaul for them to ship across the country.

I love how pictures make it look so easy and fast. While the process reminded me of how much I think Pat and I work well together as a team and how thankful I am to have him as my husband, packing just stinks. I remember moving into this house and thinking that I'd never fill it up, but there was so much extra stuff that I had collected or held onto from years past. It was great to pare down, but if I were to make a habit of moving, I might get rid of so much stuff that I become that lady that you have to bring your own chair when you visit.
