Engagment Party, Oktoberfest Style

Our friends Kelly and Garrett threw us an engagment party with help from Mista, Michelle and Eileen. What better way to celebrate the joining of our souls than with tastes of Oktoberfest beers from around the world, pulled pork with sauerkraut and kielbasa, german potato salad and lots of friends we haven't seen in awhile!

Corner Cabinet and Microwave

The corner cabinet got doors

A pull out drawer and shelves! Isn't that beautiful?

The microwave arrived and was installed. It's definitely the fanciest microwave I've ever owned and it has a fan on the bottom over the range. Maybe now I can cook without setting off the smoke alarm.

Wednesday Kitchen

The triangle cabinet has a door

and a shelf.

All the doors have the slow closers on them and the drawers have fronts too.

The big corner cabinet is starting!

Monday-Kitchen

Came home from work on Monday.....and cabinet doors had appeared...

So beautiful!

 And the butcher block has been shaved down....and there is a slit in the back for Pat's knives.

Wow.

Sternwheel Festival

The best fireworks in the world are in Marietta, Ohio during the Sternwheel Festival. 

You think I exagerate.....

 

Dad makes the city run (okay, maybe the Mayor helps some)

Sternwheel boats come from all over the region to converge for the festival.

The moon came out before the works started.

The whole thing was choreographed to music.

Even though I've seen the show many times throughout life, it still absolutely amazes me.

This picture doesn't show the amazing waterfall fireworks. In person, they were much longer and really looked like waterfalls - I think my mouth hung open for real.
